How does it work?

Factoring financing is a tool that enables companies to improve their working capital by financing their accounts receivable. The client sells their receivables to a finance company in exchange for an immediate funding advance. The advance can be used to pay for existing expenses and minimizes the cash flow problems of providing payment terms to your customers. It enables businesses to optimize their most liquid collateral - their accounts receivable.

The funding plan can be implemented quickly and works as follows:

  1. You deliver your product or service to your client
  2. You generate an invoice and sent it to the factoring company and to your client
  3. You get an immediate funding advance of 70% to 90% of your invoice
  4. The factoring company gets paid by your client 30 to 90 days later
  5. You get a second installment (the remaining 10% to 30%), less a funding fee

Receivables funding is flexible and has a number of advantages over other business financing solutions, like a business loan. The line is comparatively easier to get than conventional funding and can be setup in about a week. Also, the line is designed to be flexible and grow with your revenues. Factoring companies usually define the size of your funding line by the size of your invoices and their credit quality. This makes it an effective solution for growing companies that are faced with slow paying customers.
